“When it comes to ‘Stronger Than I Am,’ I’ve honestly never been more excited for a song,” shares Rose. “When I first heard it, I knew it was a story I would be able to passionately tell and create a moment with fans. It includes everything a great Country song needs: a little bit of sadness, a little bit of drinking, and an incredible hook.”
Written by Griffen Palmer and Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato), “Stronger Than I Am” is about the struggle of trying to stay strong through heartbreak, admitting sometimes the heartache wins out. Rose walks the listener through the steps she has tried taking in order to move on singing, “I’ve tried taking our pictures off the wall / I’ve tried working from dusk until dawn / I’ve tried all of the friends I can call / Oh but none of it’s helping at all / Something’s that stronger than I am,” Rose delivers in the raspy, soulful title track. The forthcoming project will include two unreleased tracks, accompanied by previous releases “Villain,” “Overnight Sensation,” “Remind Me of You,” “Know My Way Around” and “I Don’t Smoke.”
Recently featured as part of CMT’s new digital series Viral to Verified, the “rising star” (Billboard) opened up to fans about her whirlwind path to success, from being down to her last dollar to striking a chord with millions of fans worldwide, seemingly becoming “an overnight sensation, 13 years in the making.” Racking up over 78M streams since her Dec. 2020 debut, Rose notched her first #1 one on Sirius XM’s The Highway Top 30 Countdown and has received critical acclaim from Billboard, Rolling Stone, CMT, MusicRow and SPIN. Continuing to pick up steam in 2021, Rose will release her introductory project on Oct. 1 before she joins Chris Lane’s Fill Them Boots Tour, kicking off next month on Oct. 28 in Memphis.
