Lovely World consists of brothers Landon Rojas (lead vocals and guitar) and Cade Rojas (drums), along with childhood friend Cameron Smith (guitar), who formed Lovely World in 2015. These three founding members have been close friends since elementary school, jamming new school Rock with influences of the best of the 70’s. They were also recently joined by bassist Michael Gilbert.
Landon said, “Don’t Lay Me Down” is a product of pure self-reflection. After a rollercoaster of a year caused by tumultuous relationships and bad habits, writing this song was a therapeutic process. We’re constantly changing and evolving. We never want to release the same thing twice and this is evident when you hear this new single.”
Ridge Beck directed the video and says, “My hope is that everyone that watches gets that sense of nostalgia and a home feeling. Hopefully, they can connect with each one of the band members as they pour their hearts out on this beautiful piece.”
“Don’t Lay Me Down” was produced and mixed by Rick Parker and tracked at Palomino Sound in Los Angeles.
