A Celebration of The Music of Guitarist Ronnie Montrose

This year’s Ronnie Montrose tribute concert is being held at Anaheim’s M3 Live. This is an opportunity to hear music that Ronnie did from his days recording with Van Morrison, Edgar Winter, Montrose, Gamma, and his later solo years. The event was hosted by That Metal Show’s Eddie Trunk. The events had a variety of musicians who had either spent time playing with Ronnie, who were influenced by, or who just wanted to pay tribute to this guitarist.

Throughout the evening we heard classics like “Tupelo Honey”, “Frankenstein”, “Fight To The Finish”, Razor King”, and “Rock The Nation”. They finished the show with the Montrose classics “Rock Candy” and “Bad Motor Scooter”. Some of the musicians that hit the stage were Phil Demmel (Vio-lence/ Machine Head), the incredible Derek St. Holmes (Ted Nugent), Doug Aldrich of (Whitesnake/Dead Daisies), Keith St. John (Montrose/Burning Rain), Brad Gillis (Night Ranger), Jimmy Degrasso (Y&T/Alice Cooper), and many, many more.
