Guitarist Tom Spencer recalls “I worked at the Odeon as a 16 year old. Got to see a lot of bands.”
“When Motörhead played someone stole their bomber lighting rig! This song ties this to Steve Jones’ infamous theft of Bowie’s gear during the Ziggy shows.
We lost the two icons within about a month of each other – sometimes fate hands you a reason for a song.” Taken from the new album What In The World, ‘Going Going Gone’ features Billy Duffy & Steve Jones. “One of my favourite songs because there’s so many chord changes (a couple of them quite strange) and great solo’s from Steve Jones and Billy Duffy.” says Paul Cook “The drumming is pretty tasty as well.”
What In The World features 10 finely crafted songs, full of rock’n’roll attitude including ‘Going, Going, Gone’. The album bristles with conviction and finds the band in electrifying form, delivering some of the most ballsy, honest and downright brilliant songs of their career. They are joined on this album by a stellar cast of guest guitar players including the aforementioned Steve Jones and Billy Duffy, plus Duff McKagan (Guns ‘n’ Roses), Mick Jones (The Clash), Phil Collen (Def Leppard) and Marco Pirroni (Adam & The Ants).
“We’re buzzing about the album and can’t wait to spread the buzz” exclaims Cook.
