Japanese rock band, VAMPS, will be coming to California on the heels of their Latin American Tour to perform in Los Angeles and San Francisco this October. Having performed over 350 shows worldwide since their formation in 2008, VAMPS continue their year of touring following the release of their third studio album, Bloodsuckers.​

VAMPS is fronted by Japanese rock veterans HYDE (lead vocalist of L’Arc~en~Ciel) and K.A.Z (guitarist of Oblivion Dust) and is one of the most successful international Japanese rock acts of all time. Despite not being stranger to Japan’s most respected music chart, Oricon ­­ in fact, each of VAMPS’ four albums, ten singles, and eight DVDs have charted in the top ten ­­ the rock duo has made their true mark through diverse and extensive live performances. With a consistent international focus, the duo embarked on the VAMPS Live 2009 U.S.A tour after completing 46 sold­out shows in Japan, stopping in New York, Baltimore, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, Hawaii, and Los Angeles in addition to two Warped Tour dates in Hartford, Connecticut and Columbia, Maryland, all only one year after the act’s inception. The massive success of the tour earned them the “Billboard Japan Ranking International 2009” award shortly afterward.

VAMPS followed up their U.S. tour with an international tour that made stops in Taiwan, the United States, Spain, France, China, and Chile. Their second album B​EAST,​released prior to the tour, rose to rank 4th on the South American music sales charts, a first for a Japanese artist. The DVD of their explosive Chilean show V​AMPS Live 2010 World Tour Chile r​anked 1st on the Oricon Music DVD Chart. In 2015, VAMPS announced a return to Latin America after five years and are set to hit Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico this September. At home, VAMPS diversifies their live shows ranging from “take­overs” at theaters for a more intimate setting to arena tours, special outdoor shows, and their annual Halloween concert.

In 2013, VAMPS signed with Universal Music/Delicious Deli Records, fueling expectations for further national and global activities. Their first release since signing with Universal, V​AMPS LIVE 2012,​featured footage from the Namba show of their 49­show Japan tour. On July 3rd of the same year they released the single “Ahead/Replay,” which ranked 3rd on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.

VAMPS’ upcoming shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco is their first return to the United States after performing as the supporting act for twelve stops on the S​IXX:A.M. The Modern Vintage Tour this past Spring.
