Finnish viral sensations Steve’N’Seagulls wi ll be packing up their banjos and leaving the confines of their native Finland behind.
They will bring their folk x bluegrass-tinged covers of classic metal songs to the U.S. this September for a headline tour. They will play intimate shows across the country for the entire month. It is their first time touring the States, as well.
Their Spinefarm debut Farm Machine is out now.
What became a genuine international viral phenomenon actually started out on a farm in central Finland; in a barn, to be precise…
There, a bunch of like-minded countrymen—with the emphasis on “country”—played a customized version of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” using homespun instrumentation, everything from banjo picking to anvil bangin’ to achieve their original take on a classic. They filmed the event, posted the results on YouTube, and here they are today… on the cusp of their first U.S. tour.
You won’t want to miss S’N’S or their hillbillified versions of metal anthems! Who knows when they will be back?! Tickets for on sale 7/1.
