Toronto-Based Rock Band Harm & Ease Releases Music Video for New Single “Cut Me Loose”

Toronto-based rock band Harm & Ease, released the music video for their new single “Cut Me Loose”. Shot at El Mocambo in Toronto, ON, and directed by Paul Maxwell (Walk Off The Earth), the music video follows a mysterious action hero on a wild ride through one of Canada’s most iconic music venues.

Played by Myles Erlick (Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, Flashpoint, The Next Step), a never-say-die fighter finds himself up against a hoard of mobsters, goons, and concert goers as he attempts to be a chivalrous knight in shining armour. Fortunately for Myles, his “damsel in distress,” played by real-life-partner and esteemed dancer Briar Nolet (Let It Snow, One Drop, The Next Step) is in no need of rescuing. In fact, she comes to his rescue. Unfortunately for Myles, she just might cut him loose. Don’t miss this action-packed, shoot-em-up, no-holds-bar roller coaster ride set to a live performance by the band.

“A two minute and forty-five second action movie. That was the goal. This song rocks you like a punch in the face and the video follows suit, using the song to score an action-packed fight scene throughout one of Canada’s most iconic music venues,” said Harm & Ease.

The Harm & Ease story is a unique one! Originally founded in Burlington, Ontario in 2010, Harm & Ease are composed of Rylan Whalen (Vocals), Danny Lopez (Guitar), John Goodblood (Bass/Guitar), and Alex Hamnett (Drums). This lineup was formed in Buenos Aires Argentina after several reiterations revolving around Rylan Whalen, and Danny Lopez, the addition of John Goodblood and Alex Hamnett proved proficient in rounding out an already brilliant basis.

They were discovered by Multi-Platinum and JUNO Award-winning artist Gianni Luminati of Walk Off The Earth, who manages the band. The new single was recorded at Golden Carrot Studios in Burlington, ON and produced and mixed by JUNO and SOCAN award winning producer Tawgs Salter (Walk Off The Earth, Hunter Hayes, Washboard Union), and Tokyo Speirs (Walk Off The Earth, USS, Gabriela Bee).

They have already gained the attention of fans worldwide, accumulating over 2.2 million views on TikTok for their “Cut Me Loose” acoustic performance in Trinity Bellwoods Park in Toronto.
