On the heels of guitarist Dave Mustaine leaving Metallica, Megadeth was born. Dave Mustaine along with bassist David Ellefson founded the group in 1983. Through many variations of the band, Megadeth has successfully had a career in music. The band has released “Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good!” and “Peace Sells… but Who’s Buying” which are staples in the world of metal. Megadeth are also part of the founding fathers of thrash metal known as the “Big 4” along with Metallica, Slayer, & Anthrax.
Megadeth have released fourteen studio albums and another is in the making. They have changed line ups once again as the band moves forward, but the originals members Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson are back together for several years now and making incredible music.
I personally have seen the band perform several times in the early days as well as shows in both the US and in Canada. They still sound incredible and will always be a band worth seeing.
